  13. I. Program Description
  14.  
  15. Thank you for evaluating BlackJack Professor. You will find that
  16. it's the most powerful and easy to use blackjack learning tool in
  17. existence. An intuitive Windows interface lets you concentrate on
  18. becoming a better blackjack player, rather than fussing with the
  19. intricacies of a complicated computer program.
  20.  
  21. The BlackJack Professor can teach you Basic Strategy, professional
  22. level systems, or your own strategy ideas. Here are some of the
  23. features that the program offers:

  25.   - An on-line Help system
  26.   - Hundreds of rule variations
  27.   - An ace side-count
  28.   - Basic Strategy included
  29.   - Hi-Opt I count strategy included (no strategy tables)
  30.   - An Error warning option for when playing mistakes are made
  31.   - An Auto Deal feature to run simulations, or practice 
  32.     card counting
  33.   - A handy 'Dollars Per Hour' statistic to evaluate strategies
  34.   - A View Box to keep track of the count, money, cards left, etc
  35.   - Free unlimited product support for registered users

  48. II. Installation Instructions
  49.  
  50. To run BlackJack Professor, you will need a computer running
  51. Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later.
  52.  
  53. If you are installing the program from a floppy disk:
  54.     1) Using the Windows Program Manager:
  55.     2) Choose File, then Run
  56.     3) Type [X]:setup, then OK
  57.            ( X  is the drive where the floppy disk is located)
  58.  
  59. If you downloaded the file 'BJ_PROF.ZIP' from a bulliten board:
  60.     1) After the file is unzipped:
  61.     2) Using the Windows Program Manager:
  62.     3) Choose File, then Run
  63.     4) Type [X]\setup, then OK
  64.        ( X is the path where the files can be found)

  68. III. Registration
  69.  
  70. Thank you for evaluating BlackJack Professor! Select Register from
  71. the menu bar to bring up a registration form. If the Register
  72. option does not exist, just press the 'R' key while at the main
  73. screen. Or if you wish, print out the file 'REGISTER.TXT',
  74. provided with the program.

  76. If you are a registered user of a prior version of BlackJack 
  77. Professor, this is a free version upgrade! Use the same
  78. registration code you received when you registered. If you
  79. need to order a copy of the program, shipping charges will
  80. still apply.

  82. LVC Software will pay the sales tax for Hawaii residents.

  84. The S & H, and Disk fee is optional. However, if you choose not to
  85. include this fee, you will be sent a registration code ONLY. It
  86. will be assumed that you are registering the software copy already
  87. in your possession.

  108. download BlackJack Professor immediately, over the Internet. No
  109. postage and handling fees, and no waiting for a disk in the mail.

  114. don't need to worry about 'Hackers' stealing your credit card

  137. LVC Software donates approximately one of every seven registra-
  138. tions to local charities. As an optional form of payment, you may
  139. donate the cost of registration to your favorite charity.

  141. To do this, send a photocopy of a tax receipt or canceled check,
  142. written to your favorite charity. The tax receipt or check must 
  143. meet these guidelines:

  145. - It must be dated within the last 60 days.
  146. - It must be for AT LEAST the amount of the price of the

  148. - The charity must be established. (i.e. United Way, etc...)

  171. This version of BlackJack Professor is shareware. Non-registered
  172. users are permitted to evaluate BlackJack Professor for up to
  173. 30 days. The program must be registered within 30 days, or its use
  174. discontinued.

  176. No one may disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer the program
  177. in any way.
  178.  
  179. Distribution of BlackJack Professor is encouraged, provided that
  180. all of the following conditions are met:
  181.   1) It is distributed only for the trial use of others.
  182.   2) All files are intact and in their original condition.
  183.   3) If a distribution fee is charged, it must not exceed US$8.00.
  184.   4) The program's Registration Code may NOT be distributed.
